Short description

This is a renovation project for an old duplex villa, where we need to reorganize the facade and openings to meet new functional requirements and lifestyle patterns. Adhering to a consistent design concept, allowing the building to breathe, and residents to breathe calmly, we removed unfriendly additions, restoring the architecture to its original appearance. Opting for a subtle yet textured white aligns with the owner's temperament, creating a tranquil space within the bustling urban environment.
Outdoors, we incorporated new landscape areas, including the entrance and restaurant's outward-facing windows. We designated two landscape spots within the parking area and created a rooftop garden outside the third-floor master bedroom, envisioning waking up amidst lush greenery every day.
Indoors, we aimed for a fusion of new materials and those with a sense of time. The intertwining of temporal elements in the space brings forth a serene and leisurely atmosphere. Preserving the majority of the white textured marble, though challenging in construction, beautifully captures the nostalgic ambiance of the old house. Additionally, we introduced a skylight on the first floor to invite more natural light into the interior.

這是一個舊雙併別墅的老屋改造案，我們必須重新整理建築立面與空間動線，以符合新的機能要求與生活模式。堅持一貫的設計概念，建築可以呼吸了，居住的人也才能和緩安靜地呼吸，所以我們拆除了之前不友善的增建，讓建築體回復到本來的面貌。選擇低調但有質感的白色，以符合屋主的氣質，在喧鬧的都會中創造出屬於自己的寧靜。在戶外我們導入了新的景觀區域，在入口處及餐廳對外的景觀窗外。我們也在三樓主臥室外創造了空中花園，我們期待每天在一片綠意中甦醒。
在室內的安排上，我們希望新的材料及帶有時間感受的舊材料可以曖昧地交融著，時間性在空間中交錯著，帶出屬於空間中的靜謐感與慵懶。所以我們保留了大部分的白色紋理大理石，雖然在施工上比較難以執行，但屬於老房子的舊肌理質感所刻劃出的懷舊歲月，可以輕易在空間中呈現。我們也在一樓空間中開設了採光天井，希望有更多的自然光線可以進入到室內。
