The newly built bicycle and pedestrian bridge in Darmstadt/Germany connects two city districts over a busy urban highway. Projects like this are becoming increasingly important in times of climate change to make life in cities more livable again. We need to get cars off the street and make cycling more attractive to citizens. That's why I put human beings in the center of the shots, and the way they use the urban space. I wanted to capture the dynamics and movements of pedestrians and cyclists, while integrating them into the fluid forms and strong color scheme of the structure.
