Dekton & Cosentino Pavilion

Kris Lin International Design

Short description

1.Purpose:
"Design Shanghai" is Asia's most prestigious design event, gathering over 600 domestic and international design brands from more than 40 countries and attracting nearly 200,000 visitors. This case focuses on the exhibition pavilion design for the Spanish brands DEKTON & COSENTINO at "Design Shanghai," covering an area of 150㎡.

2.Functionality:
The project, a smaller exhibition hall, utilizes an open layout to draw in visitors while offering three main functions: 1. Product display, 2. Customer interaction, 3. Coffee and water bar services.

3.DEKTON Slim slabs feature four main properties:

a.Large Size:
The exhibition space uses DEKTON Slim's maximum original dimensions of 3.3x1.4 meters for modular design.
b.Lightweight:
With a thickness of only 4mm, it significantly reduces structural load.
c.Integration:
Leveraging its lightweight and durable properties, it can be utilized in suspended ceilings, enabling an integrated design from the floor to walls to ceilings. This presents a visual aesthetic of a bar counter extending from the floor.
d.Recyclability (Dry Hanging Construction):
The construction utilizes a dry hanging method, enabling easy dismantling and reuse of materials, minimizing resource waste.
