Infinitá Treehouse

Short description
The Infinitá Treehouse brings a perfect symbiosis between architecture and nature. Here, the forest and concrete meet and connect, revealing the truth of materials and creating an environment where nature embraces architecture.
The Infinitá Treehouse project, located in Itajaí, envisions the existing architecture’s facade as a support for the local nature. Biodiversity ascends as an integral part of the constructed environment. Under this vision, the marina and the sea shape the infinite horizon and flow into the facade, where the primary element becomes life within the built structure.
From a careful analysis of the existing building, the concept of living in the Infinitá Treehouse emerges. The facade project, designed by AO, was conceived as an extension of the natural environment, harmoniously interacting with surrounding elements like the marina, one of the largest in Brazil, the forest, and the sea in front. These elements inspired the facade's architecture: expanding slabs for greater living space, adding planters, and a secondary metallic grid structure marking the openings.
The covered terraces surround the perimeter of the apartments in a “U” shape, providing a seamless view, framed by dynamically alternating height planters. Facing the Marina of Itajaí, the balcony gains depth to accommodate a pool, uniquely recessed into the slab alongside the living area. This poetic architecture allows the sea to flow into each residence, extending to the horizon. The unique shape, reminiscent of origami, brings lightness and organicity to the concrete slabs forming the pool, closely aligned with the project's concept.
The glass facades maintain visibility between the interior and exterior, emphasizing the project’s main features: the forest, the Marina of Itajaí, and the sea. This symbiosis defines the Infinitá Treehouse.
