2.Disadvantage: Small Living Space Renovation
The project, located in Hangzhou, involves an 80 square meter single-story apartment with a garden. Its challenges include a. limited space; b. poor ventilation and dim indoor lighting; c. inefficient interior flow, lack of privacy in the master bedroom, and difficult garden access.

3.Approach: Integrated Design
The method involves a holistic design integrating architecture, interior, landscape, and soft furnishings.

4.Concept
a.Framed View: Bringing the Scenery Indoors
Through large-scale floor-to-ceiling windows, the natural scenery outside is brought into the room. The study faces a large tree outside the window, turning nature into a painting that changes with the seasons.
b.Introducing Sunlight
All doors and windows are replaced with minimalist designs, enlarging their size to better introduce sunlight and improve the issue of poor lighting in the room.
c.Open and Adaptable Space
The project undergoes a thorough renovation from architecture to interior, employing modern minimalist techniques. It features sliding multifunctional walls and multifunctional furniture to facilitate spatial changes.
d.Aging-Friendly Design
The design includes touch-operated electric hanging cabinets, adjustable height kitchen islands, and barrier-free bathroom doors among other smart aging-friendly home features, making life easier for the elderly.
