Short description
Rockorb stool is a blend between the endless rocking of a cradle and the infinite rolling of any sports ball. The active dynamic of the critical ideas describes a unique way of energetic sitting. The high sitting position makes it perfect for outdoor domestic and public use.
The stability of the concept, as in other existing examples, is based on a heavy base and a very light seat. The seat will be a rigid, lightweight bottom and a comfortable, soft sitting top. The simplicity of the shape and the specificity of the function require braking by the three strip handles positioned on the sides of the seat. The leg base will have a rough-feeling top finish to ensure better grip for stepping. To improve movement control and stability of the step even further, the top of the step finishes with a higher edge. The playful shape of the stool is enhanced by string-cast pipe made from several recycled plastic colours.
All in all, it is a playful, active stool for fun.
