Short description

My first trip back to San Francisco in 15+ years, I spent a couple of days exploring the city's architecture. The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, designed by Pietro Belluschi , was one of my favorite stops.
While the interiors, specifically the ceiling's stained glass windows, are well documented. What caught my attention was the play of light and shadow on the west side of the building as I arrived mid-morning. I preferred the more dramatic black & white perspective on the space, allowing the focus to be placed on that interplay between light, shadow, form, and lines.
