The Webster – Narrative Lighting Wall

David Adjaye, Marc McQuade and Team - Adjaye Associates, Mike West and Team - Neumann/Smith Architecture

Project description

The unique immersive-art landmark installation for the luxury clothing store The Webster at the newly renovated Beverly Center in West Hollywood is a fully integrated architectural experience for the store’s modern layout. Designed by renowned architect Davdi Adjaye and executive architect Neumann-Smith as a sculptural and experiential counterpoint to the Beverly Center’s retail experience, the entrance includes a custom lighting technology installation by StandardVision and features the work of contemporary artist Kahlil Joseph. The Webster integrates the public experience with a commercial space to reflect the future of high-end retail--instating a new cultural destination located in the heart of Los Angeles’ upscale merchandise district.
