Short description

Transcend is a tenant improvement project of two distinct office spaces tailored for an international real estate developer Transcend Group and its sales agency, Trust Absolutely. The Group faces challenges navigating bureaucratic systems, opaque market data, and technological limitations. As a response, they set the project’s primary design focus to exemplify openness, transparency, and change.

To reflect these values, the project manifests a symbolic physical presence. A massive “Interior Skylight” is introduced in the reception area, symbolizing hope and future prospects. It defies the limitations of interior tenant improvement, creating an illusion of exterior connectivity. It evokes a sense of openness and transparency, often perceived as a dome opening to the sky.

Moreover, the design deliberately incorporates contrasting formal language to distinguish between the two offices. In The Group’s office, uneven offset curvature is employed to provoke a sense of dynamism and uniqueness. Conversely, the sales office adopts an angular, geometric form to convey a sense of precision and efficiency.

SCULPTED INTERVENTION
A singular intervention is inserted to divide the space into reception, conference room, and open office areas. This intervention is carefully sculpted to include a welcoming gesture with a 4.5m diameter “Interior Skylight,” and a series of voids for transitional circulation resulting in a semi-groin vault, a built-in bench, a phone booth, and multiple storage areas.

This harmonious integration of diverse elements underscores the project’s unwavering commitment to detail and craftsmanship, creating a workspace designed to foster productivity and inspire awe in visitors. Transcend epitomizes the seamless fusion of functionality and aesthetics.
