Short description

The project is situated in the central area of Yanta District in Chang'an, China. It is 12 kilometers away from the city center and serves as the core area where the High-tech Zone, Electronic City, and Chang'an University Town converge. The main challenge in the landscape design for this community is to minimize noise interference and establish a pleasant, serene and welcoming environment. The design concept combines the local everyday lifestyle and natural elements of the ancient city to create modern community spaces. It integrates the plain and sturdy city walls, bustling neighborhoods, and cherished features like the old locust tree in the courtyard. These fragmented memories of past scenes are brought to life, resulting in a vibrant community with a natural and lively living atmosphere.

The project was designed with four distinct themed spaces: Forest Tea Garden, Wooden Garden, Tree-shaded Gathering Space, and Green Hill Realm. These spaces were created to evoke feelings of searching, playing, resting, and talking, inviting people to stroll through them and reminisce about the lively life scenes of Xi'an, while exploring the nostalgic realms deeply rooted in their memories.

The pathway is adorned with a row of trees, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The wind gently rustles through the treetops, causing a few leaves to fall, which further adds to the sense of order and ritual. As you reach the end of the path, a ceremonial wall on the right side stands out, symbolizing the special homecoming significance.

The Forest Tea Garden offers a lawn that is both lively and calm. It enhances the overall spatial experience and brings a feeling of relaxation and leisure to the community. The landscape design has enhanced the quality of life in various ways, including community engagement, appreciation of nature and plants, and the creation of a tranquil leisure space. The garden incorporates various amenities such as sofas, chairs, bar tables, and outdoor furniture within the forest environment. By descending a set of steps, you enter a sunken courtyard-style leisure area surrounded by greenery, enabling you to immerse yourself in the distinctive ambiance beneath the trees.

The Tree-shaded Gathering Space features a blend of light, shadow, water, and greenery, which are simple and beautiful scenes that result in abundance and an ideal residence. The hollow design of the pergola enriches the interplay of light and shadow, bringing a hazy beauty of virtual and real changes, filling the entire space with a sense of poetry. The boundless water feature creates a floating feeling that holds the artistic sculptures, highlighting the artistic life atmosphere of the community.

The Green Hill Realm is surrounded by lush ball-shaped shrubs and sunlit lawns, creating an immersive greenery experience in the community. The leisure terrace and exquisite art installations provide residents with a haven to relax and rest. The landscape design strives to create an ambiance that allows residents to get away from everyday life and get connected with nature.
