Hello Tea Bar

HangZhou Hello Brand Design Co., Ltd.

Short description

Every designer is the user of home where he eats, drinks and sleeps every single day so as to realize the itching point of residential design. However, not every store designer is the owner or customer of the store designed by himself . This is one of the starting points of the HELLO design director to create an office-in-store HELLO TEA BAR: to let store designers design in the store.

Nowadays, most of the Chinese-style tea-houses cannot escape the inertial framework of creating a tea room. To search for the images of tea rooms, you will easily be impressed and thus be influenced by the design style and form of Japanese tea room. The HELLO design team went further and went directly to the real historical scene, looking for the "drinking" environment in the heart of the Chinese people.

Confucius once asked his disciples to express their aspirations freely, and one of the disciple Dian Zen said, "In the late spring season, wearing the spring clothes ,going swimming in the river with a few adults and a few children, dancing in the wind, and singing songs all the way back." Confucius agreed. The landscape aesthetics between heaven and the earth has always been in the aesthetic consciousness of the ancient Chinese. Long before the "tea room", ancient Chinese liked to go to the waterside, drinking writing poems, in order to get close to nature. This has developed into a ritual of praying aside water, which was later called "fuxi", the original form of Qushui Liushang . Qushui Liushang was originally a ritual concept and a game concept. The Hello design team digested it into a space concept and make it into the core installation of HELLO TEA BAR. This is connected with the historic river canal in the neighborhood where the store is located, and the daily behavior of residents who still play cards and chess in the urban public space beside the canal nowadays. This is the "Chinese style" we defined, which comes from ancient culture, but also rooted in the most direct environment where space based.

The "Qushui Liushang" bar also expresses a core thinking of the HELLO design team for the commercial store space: a story structure instead of the physical structure , experience is more important than form, stay "interesting" while looking good. In addition to "Celebration" and "Pray for Blessing", the bar counter is also platform for the design team to communicate with the outside world. "Communication" originally refers to opening a ditch to connect two canals, and it is a process of transmitting and feedback of ideas and information. The designers of HELLO team firmly believe that the designer's work begins with communication. The Qushui Liushang bar provides designers with space conditions for negotiating with customers. The design team can also executes design experiments in the tea bar at any time, forming a dynamic store design environment with real-time interactive feedback.

Passersby watches people in the store while people inside the store also appreciate the residents walking their dogs in the green shade outside the window. Therefore, in the space and time of HELLO TEA BAR, dream is connected with reality, which is the charm of the road store and the exclusive feature of the road design studio, a space that "feels the pulse and breath of the community at any time".
