Short description

A Future-Ready Digital Workplace in Bangalore
Designed by Oculus Design Studio

A global technology leader partnered with Oculus Design Studio to shape its new India IT Hub in Bangalore — a 30,000 sq. ft. next-generation workplace that translates the brand’s ethos of Adapt. Include. Empower. into a high-performance, human-centered environment. Strategically designed to support over 200 employees, this digital workplace blends spatial agility, advanced systems, and cultural expression to foster innovation with care.

Designing for Flow – Where Space Meets Smart Technology
This workplace embraces digital enablement not as an overlay, but as a foundation. Smart systems are seamlessly embedded into the environment to simplify daily rituals and amplify user experience:

• Workstation and meeting room booking systems support fluid movement and equitable space access.

• Access control systems ensure safety and autonomy without compromising openness.

• Lighting Management Systems (LMS) in boardrooms and key collaboration areas adapt to usage patterns and time of day, enhancing comfort and focus.

• The training room, equipped with an induction loop system and dual-display setup, enables inclusive, tech-enabled learning for diverse formats.

Technology here is ambient, intuitive — designed to fade into the background, while quietly enhancing functionality and well-being.

FutureGrid – A Modular Planning Strategy
Spatially, the workplace is planned on FutureGrid, a modular framework that anticipates change and fosters diverse work modes.

• 208 ergonomic workstations arranged for privacy, acoustic comfort, and natural light access
• 103 meeting seats, spread across enclosed and semi-open rooms
• 65 collaborative seats, in breakout zones and team pods
• Dedicated phone pods, focus rooms, and digital content studios

The layout enables seamless transitions between focus and interaction. Workflows are supported, not interrupted — with every zone within easy reach of a moment of pause, a burst of connection, or a pocket of stillness.

A Future-Ready Space Inspired by the Tech Pulse
Rooted in the metaphor of “Tech Pulse”, the space embodies the dynamic rhythm of digital transformation. It’s designed not just for today, but to evolve with the future — responsive, connected, and immersive.
• The reception area sets the tone with a fluid stretch ceiling that pulses in waves of blue and violet — a visual echo of data flow. Overhead, a printed world map rendered on interlinked chains symbolizes global connectivity and the organization's expansive reach.
• Transition corridors act as immersive experiences — featuring vertical neon lines and etched black panels that display iconic global city skylines, reinforcing the sense of being part of an interconnected world.
• A forward-looking color palette of sky blue, lime green, and violet overlays warm tactile neutrals, creating a balanced, sensory-rich environment. Local culture and context are subtly interwoven through curated artworks and wall graphics, blending brand identity with a strong sense of place.

Human-Centered by Design
Comfort, wellness, and inclusivity are non-negotiable in this environment.

• Ergonomic seating, pedal desks, and multiple posture-based work settings promote physical well-being.

• Sound insulation, accessible wayfinding, and clear spatial hierarchies make navigation intuitive and inclusive.

• Health rooms and lounge zones are placed intentionally within work clusters to reinforce holistic care.

Spaces that Perform – From Boardroom to Townhall
• The Boardroom is defined by a gradient-lit ceiling panel, responsive lighting via LMS, ergonomic chairs, and a built-in bench for overflow seating.

• The Training Room is highly agile — with modular flip-top tables, dual digital screens, acoustic walls, and induction loop integration to support inclusive learning.

• The Townhall, placed centrally, is a high-energy, multipurpose space for team huddles, cultural showcases, and breaks — anchored by a stage, LED halo lighting, and Ikat-inspired graphic storytelling that celebrates local identity within a global narrative.

Recharging the Everyday – Cafeteria and Pantry Zones
These social spaces are designed to spark energy, not just serve meals.

• In the Pantry, suspended swing chairs, a product showcase, and a red-toned counter energize the everyday break.

• An interactive “Thought Space” wall invites team-led creativity.

• The Cafeteria bursts with life — botanical murals, pastel perforated seating, a green trellis ceiling, and a glowing “Good Food, Good Life” neon statement.

• A Nescafe-inspired teal coffee counter brings ritual and brand memory together in a daily moment.

A Vision Made Tangible
This IT Hub is more than an office — it’s a blueprint for future workspaces. Smart, inclusive, and adaptable by design, it responds not just to where the world of work is going, but where it needs to go: toward environments that empower people, reflect culture, and evolve with purpose.
