Short description

On Preá Beach, the preserved dunes of Ceará serve as a backdrop for kite, wing, wingsurf, sailing, and other water sports. This unique destination, part of a new project by ARCHITECTS OFFICE in collaboration with OC Galerie, offers a detailed, comfortable, and nature-connected experience.
Situated 20km south of Jericoacoara village, in a region of dunes, natural lagoons, and mangroves, the project benefits from ideal kitesurfing conditions. The design integrates the local climate, wind, and landscape views with the area's ancestral history to foster a deep connection with the surroundings.
The architecture features a grid layout, balancing filled and open spaces for environmental comfort and structural efficiency. The robust structure is carved with three large openings: the entrance, which welcomes guests with a kitesurfing atmosphere; the living area integrated with a pool, offering a musical universe; and an opening to the sky. The design resembles a shelter sculpted by wind erosion on sedimentary rock.
In synergy with local culture, the spaces provide experiences based on Kitesurfing, Music, and Art, creating multisensory encounters for guests. On the ground floor, sailors are supported from arrival through to practice, with full care and assistance. Art galleries, exhibition areas, event spaces, and leisure areas are integrated and continuously transformed by music and art curations. The atmosphere is immersive and inspiring, set within the natural landscape of Preá Beach.
From these initial subtractions, other contours are formed. Fissures are carved to create direct dialogues with the surroundings. Each opening connects to the eight upper-floor accommodations, featuring terraces that blend interior and exterior, encouraging a contemplative state of well-being. The dialogue with the region continues through the use of local and natural materials, enhancing the feeling of comfort and belonging.
From macro to micro scale, the architecture is based on human dimensions, relationships, and sensations, connected to Preá Beach, offering unique art and nature experiences.
