Dongguan Binhai Bay

AECOM Asia Company Limited

Short description

The project is located in Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area with a planning scope of 1160 hectares and, within that, an urban design scope of 700 hectares. The project team is required to coordinate the local design institute and provide dynamic and comprehensive planning consultancy services for the district.

The plan proposes three major development strategies: activating industrial vitality, shaping spatial attractiveness, and envisioning cultural influence in order to create "a platform for synergistic development of the Bay Area and a gateway for Dongguan to open up to the outside world". The future Binhaiwan Bay will be an international exhibition stage for Dongguan to show the city brand to the world and to the Bay Area.

The urban design takes "one axis and one belt" as the core, connects four characteristic groups, namely Binhai Bay Station, Midtown, South Bay, and The Coast, and draws a scene of a better life for all people through the connection of parks and coasts.
