One Pengrui

AECOM

Short description

One Pengrui is a new landmark residential development along the prime riverfront at the eastern end of the Guangzhou Finance City. It is poised to redefine luxury living in Guangzhou, offering residents a unique sanctuary where nature, art, sustainability, and well-being harmoniously converge.

Inspired by the concept of "tempo giusto", an ideal balance between fast and slow, recognizing the need to live at the right tempo versus the fast-paced modern lives. Our landscape draws from the beauty of the site and its surroundings. We aim to create a retreat in the heart of the fast-paced city.

Working closely with the architects, the unique landscape design features a multilevel layout of integrated spaces that showcases the interconnected relationship between landscape, architecture, and people. The design aims to create an undulating composition of fluid forms. The ceremonial arrival integrates a large Koi Pond as the centerpiece, with specimen trees, art, and sculptures designating focal points at the residential tower entries. Serpentine winding pathways interconnect the entire plan. Hovering above the ground, the Tray Gardens offer mesmerizing views. The architecture integrates green landscape through a series of suspended Tray Gardens. These gardens’ design magnifies the landscape and provides an unparalleled experience. Each elevated garden is designed with different programs catering to all age groups. There are interactive pop jets for kids alongside shaded seating areas and VIP lounges, complemented by custom-designed fire pits and shade structures.

Sustainability is at the forefront, incorporating extensive planting to promote carbon sequestration reducing carbon emissions. Water systems integrate sponge city technologies and rainwater management systems. Paving and mist fountains reduce heat and create a comfortable environment.

One Pengrui elevates a new response to residential design deeply rooted in Guangzhou's rich history while rethinking the balance and tempo of modern life by focusing on contemplative landscape experiences.
