SKYCO

-

Short description

Nowadays, the first flying taxis are getting closer to reality, while AI is getting smarter every day, and that is the moment to ask, "Could we go even further?"
The presented design concept introduces a unique direction for modern vibes related to the currently growing trends of work and travel. SKYCO can move more quickly and comfortably than traditional nomadic types. Also, this unique AI-navigated aircraft allows quick evacuation for natural disasters and potential epidemic outbreaks. Furthermore, each travel is an extraordinary adventure thanks to the panoramic front and roof windows, making each day unique while living around the World. Another key reason to explore these remarkable possibilities is that the Earth is 71% water and 29% land, and the planet's surface is gently covered with at least ten times more breathable air. The air is much easier accessible and has less pressure than the ocean's depths. Even with this advantage and the latest architectural milestones nowadays, those tremendous air volumes aren't appropriately utilized yet and are still hiding their potential. The presented idea is an alternative viewpoint emphasizing the Troposphere's potential to ensure a more mobile way of living.
The name SKYCO comes from 'Sky Cocoon', presenting the basic ideas of this aircraft living space in that way - the invisible progressive evolution inside and life without boundaries. SKYCO is a vision of habitat for a generation unbound by location. This transportation vessel will allow the gentle blend of travel flexibility and the comfort of the home environment. This aircraft ensures a magnificent menu of breathtaking views and can carry the favoured transport vehicles for each trip. In this case, it will help to fulfil the unstoppable demand for an everyday thrill. The presented concept design is based on the penthouse apartments' structure. It is defined by a 2-floor elevation that carries the following: kitchen area with a cooking robot, dining space, living area, board game zone, 2 bedrooms, working space, relax area, bathroom, restroom on each floor and parking space for 2 vehicles. SKYCO vessel is designed to serve its primary purpose in the air. Yet, it can also be used as an ordinary house when landing. The whole design concept is wrapped around ideas of intelligent AI homes and pilotless air transportation.
SKYCO represents the thought that the sky isn't a limit but merely an open possibility in the way of living. Based on the current tremendous progress of technology, it will be possible to live in the near future.
Basic Technical information
The outer shape is a fusion between sea crab and cocoon shells, strengthened with a middle vortex column. The battery cells and the water tanks are based below the lower level's floor. In this case, the tanks are structured in a few separate containers, so they are used as balancing weights when the vessel carries additional transportation weight. Rooftop solar panels will ensure the household's power supply, including necessary cooking, cooling and heating of the space and window dimming created by the smart glass. All space openings are closed with sliding doors and hidden mechanisms for optimization and aesthetic feel. All air-conditioning and operation systems would be placed at the back of the lower level with proper isolation from the rest of the construction to ensure optimal functionality with minimum interruption in the aircraft. The whole structure would be created with lightweight, recyclable or environment-friendly materials with a luxurious feeling.
