Yuexiu Yuejinsha Clubhouse, Chengdu

SG Interior Design

Short description

Yuexiu Yuejinsha Clubhouse, Chengdu
Project Overview
Location: Qingyang Outer Jinsha, Chengdu
Positioning: An exclusive high-end clubhouse that blends private luxury, refined aesthetics, and landscaped elegance, seamlessly integrating urban sophistication with Eastern spatial philosophy and natural harmony.
Design Narrative
Inspired by the classical Chinese garden concept of "scenery transforming with every step," the space unfolds through a ceremonial arrival sequence. Layered transitions create an immersive journey, effortlessly merging interior and exterior through a dynamic interplay of solid and void.
Cultural Essence
Yuexiu Yuejinsha Clubhouse reinterprets Chengdu’s millennia-old heritage with a contemporary vision. Drawing from the Chuanxi Linpan (Sichuan’s traditional woodland settlement layout), the design crafts a low-density garden sanctuary that embodies understated luxury. Its spatial logic—"controlled enclosure with curated vistas"—redefines traditional rituals through modern design language, establishing a serene retreat within the urban landscape.
Material Innovation
The design employs a restrained yet expressive material palette:
Parametric bamboo screens create rhythmic undulating partitions, casting ever-changing shadow patterns
A central Sichuan brocade art installation merges intangible cultural heritage with abstract modern artistry
Contrasting textures of natural stone, textured concrete, and warm timber engage in a tactile dialogue
Functional Zones
Tea Ceremony Lounge
A contemporary homage to Chengdu’s tea culture, featuring suspended teacup-inspired sculptural elements
The bar island serves as both functional hub and artistic focal point
VIP Discussion Area
Geometric volumes clad in premium materials (onyx, brushed metal, aged teak)
Strategic lighting enhances the interplay of materials, creating a refined yet relaxed atmosphere
Design Philosophy
Transcending conventional clubhouse typology, the project curates "spaces for meaningful encounters." By distilling Eastern spatial principles (ceremonial progression, garden narratives) into contemporary expressions, it proposes a new paradigm for luxury communal spaces where tradition and innovation coexist harmoniously.
