LOOP Design Awards was created with a simple ambition: to recognise and celebrate remarkable work from around the world.
We believe meaningful design is not defined by geography, scale or reputation. LOOP is an open international platform for creativity, bringing together established practices, emerging studios and new talent across architecture and design.
Our programme spans architecture, interior design, landscape design, product design, architectural photography and architectural video.
The focus remains on the work — its ideas, execution and contribution to the wider design culture.

LOOP Design Awards began in 2020, created by a small international group of architects, a designer and a photographer.
Based across Portugal, the United States and Japan, the founding team brought together different professional backgrounds, cultures and ways of looking at architecture and design.
That international perspective shaped LOOP from the beginning: an awards programme intended to discover, recognise and share exceptional work without being limited by borders.
In 2021, LOOP established its company registration in Portugal, creating a central base for the coordination and development of the programme.
2026 — A newchapter.
In 2026, LOOP entered a new stage.
After six editions, the platform began a significant transformation — bringing together a renewed team, a completely redesigned digital platform and a new Jury evaluation system.
The objective is not simply to change how LOOP looks, but to improve how the entire awards programme works: from discovering the award and submitting a project to Jury evaluation, results and the long-term archive of recognised work.
This new chapter establishes the foundation for the next generation of LOOP Design Awards.
