LOOP Design Awards began in 2020.
Previous editions and recognised projects can be explored through the LOOP archive.
Yes. LOOP accepts eligible entries internationally, subject to the requirements of the relevant edition, discipline and category.
LOOP 2027 is now open for entries.
02
Eligibility & Projects
LOOP is intended for professionals, studios and organisations working across the disciplines offered in each edition.
Depending on the available disciplines, this may include architects, interior designers, landscape architects, product designers, photographers and other design professionals.
Specific eligibility requirements are shown for the relevant edition and category.
LOOP is international and does not impose a general country restriction on participation.
Any category-specific requirements still apply.
Yes, provided the project satisfies the eligibility requirements of the selected edition and category.
Yes, where the project is eligible for more than one category.
Each category submission is treated as a separate entry and normally requires one nomination credit.
Yes.
You may create and submit multiple eligible projects through your LOOP account, subject to the nomination credits available to your organisation.
The person or organisation submitting a project must have the necessary authority and permissions to submit the project and its materials.
All relevant authors and contributors should be credited accurately.
03
Entries & Categories
The basic process is:
- Create or sign in to your LOOP account.
- Add your project.
- Choose an eligible category.
- Complete the submission information.
- Use a nomination credit to submit the entry.
Current edition information, categories and pricing are available at: Enter LOOP →
The number of categories varies by edition. Explore the current category structure on the Enter LOOP page.
Choose the category that most accurately reflects the project and the work being presented.
Review the category information before submitting. Where necessary for the integrity of the awards, LOOP may contact you or move an entry to a more appropriate category.
Where necessary, LOOP may move an entry to a more appropriate category.
Where reasonably practicable, participants will be informed of a material category change.
Yes, subject to the submission editing rules.
The current platform allows direct editing for 24 hours after submission. After that period, and until the relevant Jury evaluation lock, changes must be requested through the platform.
Once Jury evaluation has begun for the submission, changes may be restricted.
Your submission is recorded for the selected edition and category.
Once the relevant evaluation process begins, the submitted version is preserved for Jury review. You can follow the status of your entry through your LOOP account.
04
Nomination Credits & Payments
A nomination credit allows one eligible project submission to one category for the relevant LOOP edition.
For example:
- 1 project entered in 1 category = 1 credit
- 1 project entered in 3 categories = 3 credits
- 3 projects entered in 1 category each = 3 credits
Nomination credits are available through Entry Packs during active entry periods.
Available packs, prices and entry periods are displayed on Enter LOOP. Purchasing remains unavailable while the edition is closed.
Yes. Entry Pack pricing depends on the number of credits and the applicable entry period.
Current prices are shown on Enter LOOP.
Nomination credits are edition-specific unless LOOP expressly states otherwise.
They do not automatically transfer to another edition.
Credits do not automatically transfer between editions.
Any exceptional transfer or carry-forward must be explicitly approved by LOOP.
Yes, where the user is an authorised member of the same LOOP organisation.
Credits belong to the relevant organisation and edition rather than being limited to the individual who completed the purchase. Purchasing is available to organisation owners and managers.
05
Premium Features
Early Results Access is an optional service associated with an eligible submission that provides access to its applicable result ahead of the standard public release, according to the conditions of the relevant edition.
Jury Feedback is an optional service associated with an eligible submission through which feedback may be provided according to the conditions of the relevant edition.
Public Voting Visibility is an optional feature connected with LOOP's public-voting programme where that programme is available.
Purchasing it does not guarantee a People's Choice recognition.
Press-Release Creation is an optional editorial service associated with an eligible submission.
Detailed fulfilment conditions will be communicated through the applicable service workflow.
Winner Interview is an optional editorial feature associated with eligible recognised work.
Its availability and fulfilment depend on the applicable result and edition conditions.
The Custom Trophy Pre-order allows participants to pre-order the LOOP trophy at a reduced price if their submission later receives an eligible LOOP distinction.
- Pre-order: €200
- Regular price: €250
- Save €50 · 20%
The €200 is the complete pre-order trophy price, not a deposit. Pre-ordering does not guarantee that the project will receive an award.
06
Jury & Evaluation
Entries are evaluated by the LOOP Design Awards Jury.
Jury members are invited professionals from architecture, design and related creative fields.
Entries are reviewed within the context of their submitted discipline and category.
Evaluation considers qualities relevant to the field and project.
No.
Participants should not contact jurors concerning the evaluation of their entries. Questions about an entry should be directed to LOOP.
Individual Jury evaluations, scores, comments and voting records are confidential unless LOOP expressly makes specific information available through an applicable service or feature.
No.
Jury Feedback is a separate optional service and does not imply access to all Jury deliberations, individual votes or internal evaluation records.
07
Results & Recognition
Depending on the edition and programme structure, LOOP recognition may include:
- Design of the Year
- New Talent
- People's Choice
- Category Winner
- Citation
- Honourable Mention
Not every recognition type is necessarily awarded in every category or edition.
LOOP does not guarantee a fixed number of winners or distinctions in every category unless explicitly stated for the relevant edition.
Official published LOOP results are available through the Winners archive.
Recognised projects may remain publicly available as part of LOOP's historical awards archive.
Public project pages may include project information, images, credits, location, studio and recognition details.
People's Choice is a LOOP recognition associated with the public-voting programme where applicable.
New Talent is a LOOP recognition dedicated to emerging talent where applicable.
08
Trophies
No.
A physical LOOP trophy is not automatically shipped to every recognised project. Trophies are available to eligible awarded projects according to the applicable trophy programme.
The current regular price is €250.
Where the Custom Trophy Pre-order is available, the price is €200 instead of €250 — save €50 · 20%.
No.
A trophy pre-order has no influence on Jury evaluation and does not guarantee that the project will receive an eligible distinction.
If a pre-ordered submission does not receive an eligible distinction, the applicable pre-order and refund conditions will apply.
The relevant status and available action will be communicated through the LOOP platform.
Production and delivery information will be provided through the relevant trophy-ordering process.
LOOP does not promise a specific delivery date unless it has been explicitly confirmed for that order.
Where shipment tracking is available, the relevant information will be provided through the LOOP platform or associated delivery communication.
09
Account & Submissions
Yes.
A LOOP account is required to manage projects, submissions and applicable purchases.
Yes.
LOOP supports organisations with multiple authorised members. Access and permissions depend on each member's organisation role.
Historical projects associated with the relevant account or organisation may be available through the new LOOP platform where the historical relationship has been reliably established.
Projects may be archived through the account interface where available.
Entries already submitted, evaluated or forming part of the historical awards record may be subject to additional restrictions. Archiving a project does not erase an official award record.
A withdrawn entry no longer participates in the applicable awards process unless LOOP expressly agrees otherwise.
Withdrawal does not automatically return the nomination credit or create a right to a refund.
