Amorphic sand Lobby

Tzvia Kazayoff

Short description

Guy and Doron Levy, a distinguished and veteran construction company known for their high-quality projects, have successfully constructed 17 buildings in the picturesque Eucalyptus neighbourhood in Be'er Ya'akov. To ensure each building’s lobby reflects both individuality and a cohesive neighbourhood aesthetic, the renowned Tzvia Kazayoff Studio was selected to oversee the interior design. This meticulous selection highlights the studio's expertise in creating spaces that blend modernity with comfort.

The design philosophy for the lobbies is rooted in a modern, youthful, and soft aesthetic, skilfully balancing innovative architectural elements with inviting warmth. A defining feature of this concept is the use of rounded corners, which contribute to a sense of progress and sophistication. These architectural details are not only visually appealing but also enhance the spatial experience on both aesthetic and functional levels.

In executing this vision, the walls are constructed using flexible plaster, meticulously coated with durable willow plaster. This material choice ensures longevity while maintaining a sleek, contemporary look. The rounded walls and columns are further accentuated with bent brass panels, introducing a touch of elegance and refinement to the space. These monochromatic elements are complemented by the use of veneer wood, which covers walls, columns, and mailboxes, infusing the lobbies with a natural warmth and a touch of organic beauty.

To add a unique artistic flair, artist Efrat Ilan was commissioned to create custom paintings for each lobby. Her artworks are deeply inspired by and integrated with the overall design theme, offering a personalized touch that reflects her emotional connection to each space. This collaboration between architecture and art results in lobbies that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also resonant with the feelings and inspirations of the artist, making each building’s entrance a distinctive and welcoming gateway for residents and visitors alike.
