Overview
This project is a seaside vacation homestay architectural design located in Danzhou City, Hainan Province, China. Nestled with mountains at its back and the sea in front, the design features simple geometric block stacking combined with curved forms that mimic the undulating waves of the ocean, evoking a strong sense of modernism and a relaxed coastal vacation atmosphere. The three-story guest rooms are connected by transparent glass corridors, creating a continuous scenic interface. The rooftop integrates an ecological garden and an infinity pool, complemented by native vegetation to enhance the leisure experience. Employing minimalist design language, natural materials, and fluid spatial arrangements, the architecture achieves a symbiotic relationship with the coastal environment.
The facade utilizes aluminum panels with transfer-printed textures that replicate natural patterns such as ocean waves and sandy beach textures, seamlessly blending with the surrounding seaside environment. Under sunlight, the textured aluminum panels produce varying visual effects as light shifts, endowing the building with unique charm at different times of the day. The specially treated aluminum panels offer excellent weather resistance, effectively withstanding the harsh coastal climate and ensuring the building's long-term aesthetic appeal and structural stability.
To harmoniously integrate with the natural landscape of mountains and sea, the staggered block forms of the building mimic the undulations of waves and the contours of mountain ridges, resonating with the surrounding natural environment. The surrounding area features a landscaped zone planted with locally suitable vegetation, complementing the architectural style and further enhancing the integration of the building with nature, forming an organic whole.
The light-colored facade contrasts sharply with the black window frames, enriching the visual hierarchy and sophistication of the modern architectural style. The staggered terrace design effectively mitigates the building's scale, reducing its imposing presence on the coastline. This approach makes the structure appear as though it naturally emerges from the seaside, balancing modern vacation comfort with the preservation of the original mountain and sea scenery.
