Nicole Collection by Bonna Premium Porcelain / Kar Porselen

Overview

The Nicole Collection is a heavy-duty porcelain tableware series designed specifically for the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) sector. It solves a fundamental industry problem by combining the visual appeal of nostalgic, embossed patterns with industrial-grade strength. Traditionally, hospitality professionals have to choose between elegant but fragile plates, or durable but plain alternatives. Nicole eliminates this compromise. It provides a practical, highly functional canvas for chefs that maintains its refined appearance even under the intense daily stress of commercial kitchens.

The main feature of Nicole’s design is its focus on texture and visual appeal. This is achieved through carefully designed embossed patterns inspired by classic motifs, yet updated with a modern, minimalist style. These raised details interact well with the lighting in dining rooms, creating a pleasant play of light and shadow that highlights the food presentation. Additionally, the collection promotes a flexible "mix-and-match" approach. This allows hospitality professionals to move away from standard table settings and create unique, personalized dining environments that feel both elegant and welcoming.

This attractive design is supported by strong engineering, specifically created for the busy daily operations of commercial kitchens. From the staff's point of view, the Nicole Collection is highly functional. Every piece is shaped to ensure secure and space-saving stacking for limited storage areas. Furthermore, the plates feature specially angled edges that provide a firm, ergonomic grip for servers working in crowded spaces. The weight of the plates is also carefully balanced to reduce wrist strain and improve comfort during busy, high-volume shifts.

Achieving this balance between a detailed, textured surface and strong structural quality required advanced production techniques. Made from a special, high-quality porcelain mixture with strengthening materials, the Nicole pieces are fired at precise temperatures to achieve complete vitrification. This creates a non-porous surface that is highly hygienic and prevents the plates from absorbing flavors or colors. To protect the embossed patterns from commercial dishwashers and metal cutlery, a strong, resistant glaze is applied. This protective layer prevents scratches, metal marks, and edge chipping over time.

This physical durability naturally leads to a positive environmental impact. The HoReCa sector is often known for producing a lot of waste due to the frequent replacement of broken or scratched ceramics. By offering a premium product that keeps its original look even after thousands of uses, Nicole changes this wasteful habit. Following the idea of "durability as sustainability," it significantly extends the life of the product. This longer product life directly reduces the carbon footprint, raw material use, and energy consumption connected to manufacturing and shipping replacements. Nicole shows that modern luxury in tableware means enduring quality and a responsible approach to the environment.
