Odivelas Municipal Housing

The intervention area is located on a municipal plot currently occupied by a group of prefabricated timber buildings that were used to house several families during the 1980s.

The proposal seeks to establish a harmonious relationship with its surroundings by creating landscaped green areas and social spaces that encourage the appropriate use of public space and contribute to a higher quality outdoor environment.

The residential building comprises 19 housing units of different typologies, tailored to the rehousing requirements of the existing families.

In addition to the programmatic challenges and the adaptation to the topography, the project reflects a cost-controlled construction approach that conveys spatial and architectural quality.
