Designed as a cohesive system to complement Trex decking and railing, the new lighting collection combines sophisticated aesthetics, thoughtful engineering and simplified installation to help homeowners and contractors create polished, high-end outdoor spaces that remain inviting long after sunset.

At the heart of the innovation is a simple design philosophy: make the lighting disappear by day and transform the space at night. Sleek, low-profile fixtures integrate naturally into Trex decks and railing, casting a warm, beautifully diffused glow downward rather than outward. This creates ambiance, dimension and visibility while allowing the deck itself – rather than the fixtures – to remain the focus.

The collection represents a fundamental rethink of the lighting system. As Trex’s Senior Director of Product Marketing Mike Onderko explains, the company “didn’t just upgrade fixtures – we rethought the entire lighting system.” From durable connectors and simplified wiring to carefully tuned illumination, every element was engineered to improve performance while delivering a more refined finished result.

The range includes five lighting solutions designed to address different applications throughout an outdoor space.

Linear Riser Light: Creates a sleek line of light along stair risers with a hidden clip-in configuration that simplifies installation while providing an ambient glow across each step.

Post Cap Lights: Designed to disappear during the day while providing soft, ambient lighting at night, and available in three profiles to complement Trex® Railing systems.

Oval Riser Light: Delivers a clean, modern look with plug-and-play wiring that makes it straightforward for contractors to connect multiple lights.

Under-Rail Light: Provides a continuous glow beneath the bottom rail with a customizable design that can be trimmed to fit across Trex railing systems.

A comprehensive accessory range further enhances the system. A dimmer and remote provide 1–100% brightness control, while a transformer and timer incorporate dusk sensors and customizable scheduling for precise, energy-efficient operation. A six-way splitter and extension wires with soy-free sheathing complete the system.

Performance is equally central to the innovation. The collection combines energy-efficient, high-CRI LED lighting with a carefully tuned color temperature intended to enhance outdoor spaces and accurately showcase the colors and finishes of Trex decking. Weather-resistant construction supports performance in outdoor environments, while the 24VDC low-voltage system and UL wet-location listing provide added confidence for outdoor applications. The lighting is backed by a 5-Year Limited Warranty^.

Importantly, the innovation has been designed with the installer in mind. TrexPro® Platinum builder Lowell Taylor of Virginia Deck Works praised the way the components work together to make it easier to deliver the integrated, high-end lighting homeowners want, while giving contractors confidence in performance.

That experience was echoed by fellow TrexPro Platinum contractor Bruce Verblaauw, who used the new system on a deck created for global lifestyle icon Martha Stewart. He highlighted the improved wiring and plugs, noting that the components could simply be connected together, making installation significantly easier while achieving a result that satisfied a highly design-conscious homeowner.
