This case is located in Shanghai and comprises two bedrooms and two living rooms. It was designed for a couple and their young daughter. The design integrates the elegance and relaxed quality of French vintage style. Off-white walls and warm, light walnut flooring form a light spatial base. This low-saturation warm color palette effectively reduces the heaviness often associated with vintage styles. Lighting fixtures intentionally accommodate modern aesthetic preferences. Arched cabinet doors and doorways enhance the recognizability of classic French style, while excess carved decorations are removed, allowing vintage elements to be integrated into the space in a lighter form. Black cabinetry and doors are used in selective areas as restrained visual anchors, creating distinct layered contrast against the light-colored base. Under warm lighting, all elements collectively produce a warm and unified atmosphere, preserving the elegance of French vintage style while balancing the weight and opulence of traditional aesthetics. In spatial planning, the enclosed layout is opened up. Through wall optimization and functional reconfiguration, transparency and spatial adaptability are significantly enhanced. The original storage room was removed and integrated into the master bedroom, resulting in an end-view feature and curved French double doors, reinforcing the master bedroom's sense of privacy and ceremony. The living room accent wall incorporates a niche design integrated with the beam and column structure. The dining and living rooms are connected in an open-plan layout, and the integrated kitchen-dining-living configuration expands the family's shared activity space.
