Overview
The School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts at Conestoga College is a leader in culinary and hospitality education, providing students with hands-on, interactive learning. Located in the west block of the North Campus in Waterloo, Ontario, culinary action is put on display with views into the school. Full curtain-wall glazing within the central corridor offers glimpses into the culinary labs which are outfitted with state-of-the-art stainless-steel casework and appliances, high-end AV equipment, and custom-designed multi-colour backsplashes. Bake, Culinary, Mixology and Butchery Labs provide an interactive and adaptable environment for culinary instruction and events, with an attractive, fresh, and inviting atmosphere. Bloom, a teaching restaurant, integrates the elements of the Labs with a focus on visibility, acoustics, and lighting to create a welcoming ambiance for guests. The restaurant is a ‘live lab’ for students that offers an upscale, well-known dining experience for guests.
