Drop table

Overview
“Watercolor and oil painting are two mediums I particularly cherish. I love painting wet-on-wet, using washes of color layered to create new shades. This process gives rise to a kind of accident, intentional yet not entirely controlled, where hues meet to form a new color, as unique as it is surprising. I wanted to approach a design piece in the same way I create my paintings.” Patrick Jouin
Singular in its design, the DROP table stands out with a top and base enhanced by multi-layered enameling. The color stains, poured under the precise hand of the artisan, are fired and layered until a perfect harmony is achieved. Each piece gains a unique personality through this subtle and meticulous technique.
The project is the result of extensive research into color and material. The enameling process makes it possible to build up successive layers of color, creating depth and variations while leaving room for the unexpected. The firing process reveals nuances that cannot be entirely controlled, making each table unique.
Made of enameled steel, the table’s cylindrical shape was deliberately kept minimal to let the material take center stage. The assembly of two rolled steel shells, celebrated for its delicacy, adds intricate detail to the whole.
Beyond its visual qualities, enameled steel was chosen for its durability and resistance. The material is resistant to heat, UV rays and weather conditions, allowing DROP to be used both indoors and outdoors.
DROP is more than a functional object; it’s a centerpiece of daily life that brings people together and sparks joy.
Available in dining table, coffee table, and side table versions, DROP adapts effortlessly to various uses and environments. Through its combination of color, material and craftsmanship, each piece retains the singularity born from the enameling process.
