Overview
A ship crosses the canal. Slowly, without hurry, it moves through the large window that frames the port of Miami — and for a moment, the living room holds a painting that no one commissioned. Fisher Island sits just beside the port. The apartment floats above the water, suspended between the stillness of the interiors and the constant movement outside.
The palette inside is soft and desaturated, running consistently across every room. Grey-toned wood meets light oak that extends across floors and ceilings, balancing cooler and warmer surfaces. The yellow warmth of the oak punctuates darker moments, bringing comfort to an otherwise restrained atmosphere. In some areas, wooden slats introduce texture and rhythm, softening the mood, breaking the rigidity of the more monochromatic tones.
Art inhabits the space as part of the interiors itself. Works by Arthur Lescher appear across several rooms, alongside pieces such as Chipas e Úmido by Cao Guimarães and Cristais 1 by Marcos Chaves.
A large selection of Studio MK27 furniture designed for Minotti fills the apartment. Many pieces were specially produced in light wood finishes for this project, a variation later incorporated into Minotti’s own production line. The Brasilia, Daiki and Quadrado collections appear across chairs, sofas, beds and outdoor furniture, weaving a continuous language between environments.
Elegant and restrained. Natural materials, soft tones, subtle contrasts. The apartment is consistent in its quiet, except for the window. Whenever a ship passes, the frame changes. The landscape shifts, and the apartment welcomes it, never the same twice.
