Lakeside Pavilion

A modern renovation of a private existing pavilion on Lake Starnberg. My key objectives were to capture the pavilion in its immediate lakeside surroundings, the framed view out to the lake and the materiality that defines the reimagined use of the historic structure. These objectives were best achieved in low light. I planned the perspectives I wanted and patiently waited for the sun to drop and eventually disappear.
