Lakeside Chalet

Continuing the puristic approach, the interiors of the Chalet and Bath House shall showcase a consequent attention to detail. We selected three main materials; shaved white fir wood is used for all walls, false ceilings and made to measure furniture like dining table, kitchen and wardrobes. Even the aluminum window frames are cladded with fir veneer at the inside. As a harmonic complement to it, we chose a floor finish in liquid concrete, applied with effortful handicraft to add some haptic structure. Large glass panels in wet areas and bedrooms complete the puristic appearance. At the living and dining area of the Chalet we designed multifunctional furniture. So is a grand bay window with a large fixed glass panel defining a cozy area to indulge in views over the lake. Below the seating bench is a hidden roll-out bed, which can be transformed into a queen-sized guest bed. The seating surfaces at the bay window and dining chairs itself, comprises of comfortable cushions covered in grey fabrics. The kitchen is tucked away behind large, fir wood cladded folding doors to complete the puristic approach. The kitchen back panel is made of black- tinted glass in order to reflect the landscape outside. For the lighting concept we chose direct and ambient lighting fixtures, which are staged to cater for individual lighting moods, at the interiors as well as exteriors.
