Playa Sales Center

Unraveling Form: Creating Spaces Through the Immaterial

The Sales Center, integrated with the the beach-bar and restaurant SLO, forms an experiential social space where visitors are not only informed about the lifestyle in Playa but also get to physically experience it.

Inspired by the context's organic natural elements, the architecture features an interplay of solid and void geometry with a dynamic skyline. This design creates connections and frames nature, emphasizing natural views and fostering a deep connection with the environment.

The design logic favors outdoor spaces, incorporating moving shades and patterns that transform the space. By playing with solid and void, positive and negative, we form distinct zones and spaces. At the heart of the design is an outdoor zone embedded within the structure, featuring an organically shaped entrance that overlooks a central composition of cacti. This creates a focal point for the outdoor social area.

Following the same language of organic, curved lines, the meeting areas maintain a visual connection with the outdoor views. In-between spaces serve as transitions between the open outdoor common areas and the enclosed meeting rooms. Shaded embedded in/outdoor areas are commonly used by the sales team, indirectly connecting the separate masses together.

The bathrooms are designed to always portray the outside view, utilizing raw organic materials and shapes. The node leading to the beach-bar and the sales center is a hub for socializing, while the covered outdoor spaces bring all the social activities together around the coffee bar.
