Wave Whisper by Kris Lin International Design

Overview

1.Geographic Advantage:

The project boasts a prime, rare riverside view of Ningbo's "Yong River," one of the eight major river systems in Zhejiang Province. The Yong River, flowing through Ningbo, serves as a crucial economic artery for the city.

2.Purpose:

Positioned as a hub for the riverside cultural and creative industries, the project draws inspiration from the rhythmic flow of the river to establish a trendy art center. By integrating artistic and trendy IPs, it aims to create an urban landmark with rich interactive experiences, fostering urban development.

INSPIRATION:

1.Rhythm of the River

Facing Ningbo's economic lifeline, the "Yong River," and endowed with premier riverside natural resources, this project aims to integrate the river's rhythm into the interior, blending nature with the indoor environment.

2.Dynamic Space

Capturing the rhythmic motion of the river, innovative materials are utilized to merge the floor and ceiling curtain walls, creating a sense of rhythm indoors and crafting a dynamic space.

MATERIALS:

To ensure the space captures the dynamic movement of river water, the Belgian Lamett Swiss Rigi Mountain Oak SPC flooring is employed, featuring four main characteristics:

1.Lightweight - Suitable for ceiling suspensions, wall decorations, and offering rich performance features;

Wear and Pressure Resistance - High-density product suitable for flooring, offering wear resistance and impact resistance;

2.Bendable - The flooring includes a high-polymer elastic buffer layer in the middle, providing excellent elasticity and toughness. It can be significantly bent during installation, ensuring stability without deformation;

3.Easy Installation - The flooring system is glue-free and joist-free, allowing for immediate use upon installation, saving both time and costs.

4.These four characteristics achieve a harmonious unity between the ceiling and curtain walls of the project, perfectly presenting a harmonious spatial sensation of meandering river water.
